us

We’re two sisters living by the motto "If not now, when?" because why wait for the good stuff? With a glass-half-full attitude,

we’re on a mission to help people feel good and valued through creativity. We believe everyone’s got a purpose, and ours is to inspire others to unleash theirs.

Laura’s got a wild energy that matches her epic cake designs—calm? Nah, not in her world. Her dad was the real-life Willy Wonka, aka a Product Development Technologist at Nestlé, so growing up, they had a wardrobe full of reject chocolates. Enough said!

Laura’s designed cake workshops that are globally on trend and taught these concepts at top London cake schools, making sure her international students know there are no boundaries. She inspires them to take their skills back home and shout about it, keeping them ahead of the curve. Her energy is contagious—that’s why students fly in from all over and keep coming back for more.

She’s worked on cake projects for royalty (not the UK, but still pretty fancy), and her school report literally said, “Her creativity is overly ambitious.” We’d call that a compliment, right?

Laura’s trained staff at Harrods and Fortnum & Mason, developed cake products from concept to launch, and taught over 10k students worldwide. But at the end of the day, it’s all about having a bloody great time, letting loose, and learning skills that actually make a difference.

RACHEL

Rachel’s on a mission to make the workplace a place of true well-being, with a serious focus on employees’ mental health.

Now, as a yoga teacher with a background in wellness, she’s channeled that energy into helping teams connect, recharge, and have fun at work. From bringing a beach into the office to blending mindfulness with fun, Rachel’s all about making workdays more enjoyable.

GRIXTORY

ESTABLISHED IN THE 1850’S

grix. pronounced

g-r-i-x. some say grEEE, but we’re not that fancy. who knows? anyway.

we’ve got some cool history & we’re on a mission to keep our grix name alive.

The Grix family has been in the catering business from our hometown, Norwich since the mid-1800s, serving everything from prestigious white tablecloth events to hearty meals for the forces. They set the standard for events—delivered by horse and cart.

But it wasn’t just about the fine dining. The Grix’s also gave back, handing out meals from their restaurant leftovers, beef dripping to those in need, and selling 'tupenny rough cuts' budget meat deals to help feed the community.

After owning several premises in Norwich, a renowned businessman often seen with a big tash in his big bowler hat, couldn’t get a drinks license at his Criterion Restaurant, so he just opened another boozer. Also where Norwich City Football Club held its first meeting. Go on Canary’s!

At just 15, John Grix braved the horrors of the Baedeker Raids in April 1942, racing through a burning Norwich on his bicycle to deliver vital messages. Bombs knocked him off his bike repeatedly, acid from a burning factory scorched his hand, yet he never stopped.

Recognized as one of the youngest messengers to receive the BEM, John was later introduced to King George VI, who remarked, "I understand you are only 15." The boy simply grinned.

His bravery was recognized all over the world, with headlines celebrating his courage and even honors from Australian authorities.

Despite injuries that cost him a lung and prevented him from military service, John’s resilience continued in civilian life. He worked at Laurence Scott & Electromotors and later ran Lings hardware shop with his brother.

His story—a testament to courage and dedication—deserves to be remembered.
